Our Outreach Story
We believe FIRST is more than a community, but a family. Through outreach, we expand this family and support each other, and as a team, we prioritize availability to all teams we assist. We want teams to feel supported and counted on, so we make sure to be there every step of the journey. In our technical outreach, we ensure this by varying our events to people in any stage of FIRST. We selectively choose our events based on this format.

Spreading STEM Awareness
Geek Girl Con.
We set up a booth at Geek Girl Con., showing people robotics in forms of FLL and FTC, where we let people drive robots, and showed them missions. At our booth, we got interviewed by the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP).

Salmon Days
We collaborated with the Future Martians (FRC 9023) to set up a booth at Salmon Days for people to learn about FIRST, the robotics competitions and drive robots on the fields.
Girl Scouts
As part of moving up levels, scouts must earn badges. We assisted them in earning badges in robotics, guiding them through the process of earning them and helping them with any difficulties.

Expanding STEM knowledge
Mentoring Teams
As FLL veterans, we are capable of assisting and helping FLL teams. We attend their sessions, and give feedback, tips, and suggestions for their team. Currently, we mentor 7 different teams with over 300+ mentoring hours.

FTC: Zero to Robot
We collaborated with FTC 23226 to host a three hour online session for people interested or already in FTC, where we taught them the beginnings of Mechanical, Programming, and Outreach parts of robotics.
FLL Tips N’ Tricks
We hosted a session at the YMCA, presenting various tips and ways to apply skills in FLL. We impacted 40+ people, among those including 5 beginner FLL teams.

Prepping teams for Competition
WA Open Invitational
We hosted the first annual WA Open Invitational, an FLL scrimmage to prepare teams for various parts of the competition. This event allows teams to test their robots, get feedback from professional judges and receive answers to all their questions from FLL veterans. The event impacted 200+ people and over 20 FLL teams.

Community Outreach
Goodness Cookies
We participated in Goodness Cookies, an organization that donates cookies to the homeless. We packaged and wrapped cookies, resulting in 183 cookies ready to be served.

Food Truck
We volunteered at a free food truck near a temple. As part of this annual tradition, we prepared food for hours for people to eat at no cost.
